How to do the Decline Barbell Bench Press

Primary: Chest · also works Shoulders, Triceps.

The decline barbell bench press is a strength exercise designed to target the lower part of the chest muscles. This variation of the bench press involves reclining on a decline bench with feet secured for stability, and pressing a barbell upward from the chest. It engages the lower pectoral muscles more intensely than the flat or incline bench press. This exercise is excellent for developing overall chest definition and strength. It's performed with a controlled pushing motion, emphasizing proper form to prevent injury. Ideal for building muscle mass and improving upper body pressing power.
