The V-Bar Press Down is an isolation exercise primarily targeting the triceps, performed using a V-bar attached to a cable machine. This exercise helps in developing the size and strength of the triceps effectively. The V-bar allows for a neutral grip, reducing strain on the wrists and providing a controlled range of motion.
Step by step
- 1
Attach a V-bar to a high pulley cable machine.
- 2
Stand upright facing the machine with feet shoulder-width apart.
- 3
Grab the V-bar with an overhand grip, palms facing down.
- 4
Pull the V-bar down until your upper arms are locked at your sides and hold this position.
- 5
Push the bar down by extending your elbows until your arms are fully extended.
- 6
Hold for a second and then return to the starting position in a controlled motion.
